Golden Visa 2025 Programme in Portugal
The Portugal Golden Residence Permit Program (commonly known as the Portugal Golden Visa Program) is a five-year residence by investment program for non-EU nationals.
The residence permit gives the right to live, work, and study in Portugal and allows free circulation in Europe’s Schengen Area.
Furthermore, the program only requires an average of seven days per year stay in Portugal over this period.

Who may apply
The Golden Visa is available to citizens of countries outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland who make a qualifying investment in Portugal. The main applicant may include the following family members:
– Spouse or legally recognized partner
– Dependent children under 18 years of age
– Dependent children aged 18-25, single and enrolled in full-time education
– Dependent parents of the applicant or spouse (generally over 65 years old)
– Minor siblings under legal guardianship of the applicant
Investment options
– Regulated investment funds (minimum €500.000) regulated under Portuguese law and not linked to real estate, with at least 60% invested in Portuguese companies.
– Establishing a company in Portugal and creating 10 full-time jobs
– Minimum contribution of €500.000 to public or private research institutions
– Minimum donation of €250.000 for the preservation or promotion of Portuguese cultural heritage
– €500.000 in a commercial company, creating or maintaining 5 jobs over 3 years
